December 11, 2023. 11 AM

Trails number two and number three have been rolled out with track set. It's around 5 km. As aforementioned, there is a lot of water underneath this fresh snow and it needs to drain out and hopefully freeze up. The packed trails have been rolled with one pass with the roller and a track set. It will be fairly narrow for skating and best for Classic skiing. We Will be able to do more extensive grooming tomorrow, and explore opening some other terrain. If you come up today, not a bad idea to have a ski scraper in your pocket as there are some slushy spots to negotiate.

That being said, it is a winter wonderland out there with lots of fresh snow hanging in the trees. Quite beautiful.

All in all, I think we came out in the positive.

Good morning overnight we received around 4 inches of very wet dense snow. We definitely got a good shot of base and the coverage looks good. However it rained for about eight hours straight before the snow started and there is copious amounts of water below the new snow. We are out assessing trails and will update In a little while. Also, there are numerous branches in Birch tree is hanging on the trail and they will need to be cleared so if you do come up to ski, use caution please and be aware of that.

I am optimistic about hopefully being right back to where we were several days ago in the skiing was really nice but things just need to drain and hopefully freeze up. Still snowing though. Maybe we’ll pick up even more throughout the day. Stay tuned

41° but not raining yet. Coverage is probably still pretty good out there. I am guessing that with the warm temps the snowpack thinned overnight. I plan on heading out and setting a fresh track where possible. Trails will be soft for skating but a fresh track should firm up the skiing underfoot……for a while.

Skiers who get here early should still get some skiing in. Then some gross rain, and maybe a little positive weather action in store starting tonight through tomorrow night. Skis crossed.
