Nice cold and sunny start to the day today. Way better than the glippity glop snow and warm temps. Looks like below freezing temps through Saturday morning with Saturday looking really nice. We are enjoying some pretty great early season conditions. Trails #2,#3 and #11 will all have been groomed up with track set shortly. The conditions should be rather nice, There are a few thin spots to work your way around but good skiing to be had up here. Expect great snow with a few short early season spots to work your away around. Things are starting to freeze up finally.

.The raw rainy day yesterday turned into once again a very very dense 4-5 inches of snow. It has coated our trails once again in a snow paste. It has groomed out pretty nice but the warm snow is extremely hard to steer in while grooming, resulting in some ruts through the corners. Keep your speed down and use caution. There are also some open water spots to negotiate as nothing has frozen up yet. I have groomed and tracked out the Airport and The Polo Field loop (Trail #2) Coverage is still good for #3 and #11 but It may be better to leave it to dry out. This snow does not lend itself to good grooming conditions and it will come out better once things freeze. Anyways we still have some pretty good early season conditions. Looking for that freeze up and some nice fresh powder! Skis crosssed!

Good Morning,
Yesterday’s warm temps and some drizzle definitely thinned the snowpack quite a bit. There is good skiable snow, but also more mother earth poking through as well as some moisture to contend with. Some sort of something coming in today through tonight. With a little luck maybe we will get some more snow to work with. We are off to a great start for the ski season. Stay tuned!
