SKI SHOP ON SALE NET POSITIVE SNOW GAIN OVERNIGHT, RAIN NOW BUT MAYBE MORE SNOW LAER.
1/13/22
Good Morning,
Friday the 13th. Hmmm. A surprise few inches of wet slushy snow overnight has given us, at least for the moment, a net positive gain in snowpack. The Airport loop and beyond is well covered as of 10:30 AM. The battle will ensue today between the steady rain falling and the snowpack. If the latter wins, and we get a little snow on top of the crust we may be in luck for getting some real skiing going again. Time will tell. Looking at the radar, one can see a line of snow that stretches from Plattsburg to Utica and is slowly heading our way. Just a few more miles North/Northeast and we hopefully will see some snow come down.
We just need that cold rain to transition to some wet snow. The temperature outside Ole's door is 32 degrees exactly. We are right on the edges of our seats here people! Stay tuned.
The trails will be closed today and will need to once again drain from water before we can groom or allow skiers to travel across it. Think cold snowy thoughts everyone.
If you interested or want to check out some ski gear we are on sale here in the shop. See below. Hoping to see you all up here soon. Happy to be warm and dry today.
