We had a great weekend over the last few day. Despite the NOAA warning everyone that going outside this weekend will result in imminent death, the weather was perfect for Cross Country Skiing! No casualties just a whole flock of happy people outside enjoying the fresh, crisp, absolutely beautiful, proper winter weather.
Thanks to all who came up to utilize the trails that the legend Ole himself mapped and cut so very long ago.
Today has started chilly. A reading on my thermometer this morning at 13 below zero. No worries though, the sun has just poked over the ridge and is blasting warm sunshine across East Warren's fields and forests.. The temps today will rise into the very comfy twenties.
It's gonna' be a scorcher. Remember to bring your sunblock sunglasses and drink plenty of fluids. You don't want to get dehydrated in this excessive heat.
But for real it's going to be another great day here at the ski center. All trails are groomed and open with the exception of #8 and #12 which has active logging. Just about all of the core trails have been tuned up once again this morning for your skis to rip. Come and get your glide on.

What a day what a day!
Another day of sunny skies and excellent skiing on just about a 100% open trail network. All trails are open and have been hit up with the groomer over the last few days with the exception of trails #8/#12 in the woods that have active logging at the moment. Just about all of the core trails will be freshly groomed for your skiing pleasure this morning. And everything else is in excellent condition.
A lot of happy skiers yesterday gliding around enjoying the amazing snow. Last night the kick wax skiing was unbelievable. Maybe time to stick that special "Klister Glide Wax" on my kid's skis. He is getting a bit hard to keep up with! Little rascal. Sunshine and the best skiing and conditions any skier could ask for. Temps will top out in the upper teens today. Full sun+proper winter temps+incredible packed powder conditions= another epic day here up at the ski center. I hope to see you all here.

It's going to be a perfect kind of ski day today. Cold and still out early this am. There is fine and dry snow dust hovering around. The trails are grooming out to a beautiful and well packed powder surface. Classic tracks are crisp and ready for kicking and gliding. Winds? Forecast to be calm. Sun? It will be set to blast on high The views will be long and spectacular today. Cold first thing this morning but temps will rise to a balmy 14 degrees today but will feel much warmer.
This is the perfect kind of ski day to be here at Ole's. All core trails including #1 and #11 will be tuned up for your skiing pleasure. The outer loop, trails #6,#9 and #10 was groomed with tracks set yesterday. The beginning of #9 and #6 were re-groomed this morning to comb out the fresh blown in from yesterday. There is no better way to get out in the cold than to XC Ski. Come enjoy some of the nicest conditions we have had in years.
See you up here.
