Fresh grooming this morning on all core trails including #1 and #11. The wet snow yesterday dried out nicely and is looking good combed out behind the groomer. A nice couple of snow squalls blew in over the last few hours and have provided a nice refresh on the trails. Things are still looking really nice out there. We are again set up for another beautiful stretch of skiing here at Ole's. The sun is coming out and the temps are very reasonable. See you up here.

A pasty inch of snow on top of the trails this morning. It has been above freezing for the last few days but the trails refroze last night. This snow that has fallen will help to soften up the firm conditions today. It is still spitting snow/sleet/rain out there and the temps are supposed to climb up into the upper thirties. There is also a little bit of rain forecast for later this afternoon. With that in mind I am going to hold off on the grooming this morning. If we can keep a little of this fresh snow on top through tonight, when the temps are supposed to drop well into the lower twenties, it will give a good chance to be be grooming out some fresh snow and not an ice block tomorrow morning.
The skiing looks good out there though. There is nice fresh snow on top of a solid base. A good shot at snow for Friday night into Saturday should set us up for yet another excellent weekend of skiing up here at Ole's XC. See you up here.

An interesting snowpack fist thing this AM. A well packed and properly consolidated snowpack has resluted in a mix between a powder and a corn snow surface. The skating around just now was really sweet. The track is still looking good. Skiing should soften as the day progresses. There is excellent snow coverage out there right now and we are enjoying excellent conditions See you up here
