With Heavy freezing rain falling and road conditions downright scary and basically impossible to drive on this morning we will be delaying opening of the ski center today. If road conditions improve later we may try to get things rolling.
A mixed bag of freeing rain, sleet, rain and snow forecast to fall today. Temp forecasts are unclear but we are hoping to be skiing after this weather event.
The last few days of bluebird skies and excellent skiing were incredible. Think snow and we will update trail/shop status later in the day.
Good day to stay in and snuggle up.
Be safe.

It is going to be another beautiful day today. The skiing yesterday, on trails #2 and #11, was really nice. Many a happy face could been seen gliding away. That sunshine sure goes a long way in making for happy people.
Today will be another repeat. The sun is set to shine in full force once again. Trails #2 and #11 will be tuned up once again for your skiing pleasure. Trail #5 out to the big hay field has been packed. While #5is thin in spots, "it was pretty nice" and "so beautiful!" were the reports yesterday. Advanced skiers who are willing to disregard the safety of their ski bases in exchange for a sunny ski tour can check it out. Stop in with questions.
Trails #2 and #11 are skiing really nicely however. With the exception of a bit of scratch/stubble it should ski great for both skate and classic. There you will find a quality classic track set.
Come up and soak up the sunshine. Once again the view should be spectacular. See you up here.

Today will be the best day of the season here so far this year. Another round of snow moved through last night giving us another powder layer here at Ole's. Skiing on the open terrain around the ski center, Including trails #2 and #11 is good to excellent. #11 being most choice.
I took the snowmobile out #5 along East Warren Rd and then out to the big hay field on #5 yesterday. We may try to roll later in the morning. It is a bit rough along East Warren Road once you hit the horse pasture but advanced skiers who can find their way, and do not have cuddly feelings for the bottom of their skis, can make an out and back along East Warren RD tour. Some decent skiing out their but expect some hard/bony spots. #5 through the woods is closed. Check in with questions.
A host of skiers made their way up and gave the trails a good ski yesterday. I will expect the same today. Please comply.
It is already a very reasonable 11 degrees out side. The temps will rise into the mid twenties today.
The sun is scheduled to show it's face once again today. The winds will be light. It is the perfect combo for skiing at Ole's.
Hope to see you up here.
Ski shop opens at 9AM.
