Warm Winds From the South
March 08, 2026 Amazing what can happen overnight. The wind howled and continues to howl from the south. We took a real big hit out there last night. While there is still some coverage out there, trails are fragmented by open water slush spots and thin spots that are getting bigger and bigger. With temps in the 50's to 60's over the next several days and some rain on Wed. It doesn't look to improve for the short term. That being said, I took Lil' baby Ginzu groomer

Another Day of Sunshine
March 05, 2026 I am not really ready for spring but as one can see from today's picture, last night wasn't half bad. A soft spring skate ski on #4 was really fun and the sunset was pretty awesome. Today will be a repeat but with the temps only to reach a high in the upper thirties and some clouds moving in as the day progresses, the mush factor should not be as dramatic today. Things will also take a bit longer to soften up. I am out combing some skate lanes and I will r

Deep into Winter
February 08, 2026 We are deeply into winter here in East Warren, VT. Old school temps with excellent and abundant old school snow conditions. Just right for cross country skiing, where you build your own heat through kicking and gliding. Just a tad chilly out there this morning. Currently about 10 below with a little bit of wind. Cold yes but beautiful too. Clean, crisp Arctic Air and dry powder in abundance. I am making my rounds grooming this morning and skiers c

Dumping Snow over the Airport. It's gonna be a great day for XC skiing!
A nice round of snow squalls moving through this morning giving us a really nice refresh on the trails. It was dumping snow a little bit ago but has started to lighten up. It is supposed to snow lightly here for the next little bit, come to and end and then drop temps through the morning. Cold in the forecast but at the moment the winds are mellow. They may increase out of the NW as the day progresses, so tune your ski route to stay out of the breeze as best you can.

CHOICE CONDITIONS
January 29, 2026 About as nice of a cold winter January morning as it gets out there this AM. An incredible sunrise out there with the sun's warmth creating frost fog above Ole's trail system. A balmy 6 degrees to start but Temps. will rise to a high of 17 degrees today with calm winds forecast. It's gonna' be a good day......... again. All of the core trails including #1 and #11 and #2a received fresh grooming this morning. Also groomed is #6 to the #7 junction and into

12" of Fresh Snow, Still Dumping out!
Good Morning 12 inches of the most beautiful fluff you ever did see fell on the trails last night. Still dumping out too! Grooming is ongoing. Trails #2,#3,#11,#5,#7 to the #4's,#7a and #1 all packed and tracked here in about an hour or two. We will be out grooming today periodically. And the snow will be building up as it is supposed to snow all day. Come ski! Will update a little later with some more info. Happy snow day. See you up here.

SPRING SKIING HERE TODAY
January 14, 2025 Spring skiing here in January. Temperatures started the day early at around 40 degrees this morning. They are supposed to stay right around there for most of the day. Trails are in shape and are skiing well, especially considering the low snow conditions. Trails close into the center are the best but the #4 loop is skiing excellent as well #5 once you pass #7a Junction. #5 through the fields along E. Warren Rd. is thin/icy in spots but very ski-able. #11,

Skiing still good
January 13, 2026 We are still skiing up here. The base is firm and coverage is still good. The fresh snow has groomed in and despite the crusty appearance the surface is quite edge able. Skate skiing was, dare I say it quite nice this morning. Temps are above freezing so things have softened a bit. Good skiing around the ski center as well as out to the #4 loops. #11 is nice and #1 isn't half bad. #5 through the fields is thin in spots. but doable and worth the trek to ge

Skiing best once it warms up a bit
January 10, 2026 Good Morning, A good shot of rain and a warm strong wind overnight has consolidated the snow pack. While we did take a hit, the base largely remains intact. I went around and combed some skate lanes and it has tilled up pretty nicely. There is going to be an occasional icy/thin spot out there but the skiing should be good after the sun has had a chance to soften things. Around Trails #2, #11, #3 has good to excellent coverage. #5 along East W
