It has been lightly snowing since this morning, giving trails a bit of a refresh. Grooming on all the core trails this morning including #1 and #11. Fresh tracks set too. The outer loop trails #6, #9 and #10 were groomed yesterday. Some good skiing out there but the hills are challenging in their usual spots. Advanced skiers out their only please. A true VT skiing experience.
Expect a well groomed and consolidated trail with just a little bit of fresh snow. The skiing should be excellent today.
Skiing is nice right now so come up and enjoy. Snowshoe routes available also with equipment rentals available for both XC skiing and snowshoeing.
See you up here .

A very Good Morning to all,
Tis' a special kind of day out there once again. The sun is really cooking out there and we are starting the day with a practically tropical temperature of almost 14 degrees here at the ski center as of 8:30am. It's going to be in the upper twenties today. A luxurious reprieve from the sub zero t mornings that have been the norm. as of late.
Our trail system is nearly 100% open and groomed out for your skiing pleasure today. I am taking the groomer out and giving trails a freshen up as necessary. Things are in great shape especially the fields. where the powder is deepest and the sun is radiating. We are neck deep in one of the best stretches of mid winter skiing that I can remember in the twenty years I have been up at Ole's.
Bring ze' sunblock and come get your glide on.

We had a great weekend over the last few day. Despite the NOAA warning everyone that going outside this weekend will result in imminent death, the weather was perfect for Cross Country Skiing! No casualties just a whole flock of happy people outside enjoying the fresh, crisp, absolutely beautiful, proper winter weather.
Thanks to all who came up to utilize the trails that the legend Ole himself mapped and cut so very long ago.
Today has started chilly. A reading on my thermometer this morning at 13 below zero. No worries though, the sun has just poked over the ridge and is blasting warm sunshine across East Warren's fields and forests.. The temps today will rise into the very comfy twenties.
It's gonna' be a scorcher. Remember to bring your sunblock sunglasses and drink plenty of fluids. You don't want to get dehydrated in this excessive heat.
But for real it's going to be another great day here at the ski center. All trails are groomed and open with the exception of #8 and #12 which has active logging. Just about all of the core trails have been tuned up once again this morning for your skis to rip. Come and get your glide on.
