Chilly start to the day with temps at -8 when I first woke this AM. Trails are locked up hard but I will be out tilling into the morning hours. Remember that this time of year, once the sun crests it's zenith and the afternoon shadows start to get longer the snow will begin to refreeze and harden up again. Best skiing will be during the "heat of the day" which looks like around mid to late morning until about late afternoon. Plenty of glide out there today. The skating will be nice.
Temps look to go above freezing for tomorrow with a good chance at a little bit of fresh snow tomorrow night. Grooming on core trails this AM. Will post a detailed trail report when grooming is completed but all of the usual core trails will be tilled up once again. Classic tracks will be firm...... Klister anyone?

Happy March.........
A sharp drop in temps overnight from the high of almost 50 degrees yesterday has transformed the snow pack and consolidated it. Trails really firmed up overnight and it was lightly snowing early this morning.
I have been out tilling trails since the wee hours and with the light dusting that fell this morning, conditions have turned into a nice glide rich loose granular surface.
The skate lanes on the core trails have been given the treatment and we set a classic track on all the core trails last night before we left. The classic tracks will have some powder in them that will help get you some grip. The skiing up here is still great. We will be grooming into the day today and with a bump up in temps through the day it will be another day of great gliding at Ole's. We also have some great terrain for snowshoeing with rentals available.
We will have hot food available, as well as beverages of all varieties for all ages. Including VT craft beers and a few wines to enjoy after your ski. We also have hot chocolate, coffee and a variety of cold drinks. All kinds of stuff to quench your thirst and fill your bellies. Come up, say hello and have a ski.
Warm temps and sunshine today will soften the snow and provide nice spring skiing all day. We are out buffing some core trails and re setting some tracks. Everything will be skiing nice and springy today. The snow base is deep. All trails will ski well. Get up here and enjoy the sweet sunshine and T Shirt weather.
Open with some soups and maybe other hot food, cool drinks, warm drinks snacks and some adult Beverages for you to sip after your nice long ski. Come up and enjoy the view. See you up here.
