Another mild start to the morning. The snow pack mostly refroze over night with the light breeze and cooling temps. As one could expect the melting continued through the day yesterday. The warmth around 3PM and on actually softened the ice/slush and made it more ski able . I banged around with the big groomer on #2,#1,#11 this morning and combed it out where possible. Some skiing to be had for sure.

Expect gaps in the trail, bare/thin spots, icy/slushy, interspersed with some quality spring snow. Is it pretty? Nope. But it is skiing and I skied a solid ski/workout yesterday. I plan to do the same today.

Anybody wanting to get out and slide around can come check it out. Shop hours may vary over the next few days. Call with questions.

Amazing what can happen overnight. The wind howled and continues to howl from the south. We took a real big hit out there last night. While there is still some coverage out there, trails are fragmented by open water slush spots and thin spots that are getting bigger and bigger. With temps in the 50's to 60's over the next several days and some rain on Wed. It doesn't look to improve for the short term.

That being said, I took Lil' baby Ginzu groomer out on a scouting mission this am. The best skiing is over on trail #1. It is remarkably well covered still. I set a fresh classic track and then brought the big groomer over and double groomed the skate lanes. Honestly it looks sweet and I am headed over in a minute for a lap. No doubt it will be a bit punch as the snowpack is softened top to bottm. Any skiers who want to get a last ski on our dwindling snow base, don't dally. Things are getting warmer by the minute out there so the best gliding will be early.

Other trails are skiable today with numerous slushy, icy and thin spots as well as some good snow. #4's had great sections that got some tracks set. I also set some tracks wherever the snow looked good. Some sections will be a survival ski. Bring not your best skis and a dry pair of socks for after! Things will be getting thinner and wetter with the increasing warmth and melting.

Call our stop in with questions.

Great deals on gear up here as we move towards the late season. Breathing's of a return to winter next week. That would be sweet!

The temperatures are starting this morning on the brink of freezing. Trails still have great coverage, have been groomed extensively over the last few days and are in fantastic shape. Packed but edge able snow will turn soft as the temps are set to hit the forties by around mid morning. They will top out in the fifties by around mid afternoon.

Everything is in great shape, the outer loop trails, #6,#9 and #10 were groomed yesterday along with everything else. I don't recommend skiing the outer loop until it is well thawed. No doubt the hills are fast this morning. I recommend skiing your legs off over the next few days. Carpe Skiem. The skating will be bonkers nice first thing this morning. FYI.

Fresh touch up grooming around the core trails this morning. Come up and have a ski. The soup is Chicken Corn Chowder, a small but tasty menu available for lunch time and a variety of beverages for all ages are available, including a modest selection of craft beers and wines for an after ski treat. Ski shop open today 9AM-5PM and maybe later if people are hanging out.

See you all up here.
