General Washington's official birthday today. Undoubtedly, he must have spent (in between the revolution,running the country and all that stuff) his birthday's with leather boots bound with leather straps affixed to wooden skis gliding away at his local Nordic Center. Pretty sure I read that somewhere.
Also, today is apparently Do a Grouch a Favor Day. I didn't know that was a thing. But do a grouch a favor as well as yourself, get up here and get your ski on because the skiing is sick, the snow is still cold, glide rich and the last few days have been simply superb.
All core trails are getting buffed out once again for your skiing pleasure this morning. It has been an amazing stretch of skiing here in East Warren, and it looks to continue into the week ahead. Thanks to all who have come up to utilize these trails that have been a Mad River Valley Tradition for 55 years strong.

A high in the upper twenties, full sun and light winds today. It does not get any better than that for a ski at Ole's Cross Country. The skies are clear and the views will be far and long today. Trails are blanketed in cold beautiful powder from end to end. Trails have been thoroughly groomed over the last couple of days. Once again all core trails, including #1 and #11 will be buffed out fresh this morning with fresh classic tracks set. Should be done around 9ish.
It is going to be really really really nice out there today. Come up and enjoy it.
We will have food and drink to sustain you for a day of skiing and to warm you up and cool you down.

Today we are offering up a trail system pretty much 100% open and groomed up to perfection for both classic and skate skiing. Trails currently have some of the best conditions we have ever seen up here right now. Temps in the upper twenties will provide some seriously glide rich snow. Things are in great shape up here so my advice would be to get up here and rip these stellar skiing conditions. Hope to see you all up here.
We will have yummy chili on the menu with maybe some other offerings as well. Hot and cold drinks, snacks and a warm fire in the wood stove to enjoy.
