12PM UPDATE:
The wind has died down and the sun has come up. Some where out on the trails a Crusty Vermonter is skiing it up.
Not going for distance and definitely not for speed but sure is nice out there.
Temps are a balmy 12 degrees out. The new snow has allowed track to be set on all open terrain.
Come enjoy this beautiful winter day.
See you up here.

Good Morning,
a good shot of snow overnight has given everything a nice refresh of powder snow. Open terrain, about 8KM, continues to get better and better. Trails were refreshed with the groomer this morning. Quite chilly out with single digits and a breeze moving across the trails. Bundle up if you go out!
Please note: Be sure to follow all trail signage and closings. Landowners are not ready for us to be out in certain areas yet so please respect their generosity and do not ignore closure signs. Rule of thumb if it is not groomed it is not open unless otherwise posted. If you can not respect this you will not be welcome at Ole's.
Thanks for being respectful everyone. We are off to an excellent start to the season.

National Pearl Harbor day today. And on this remembrance day today we are pleased to offer you our first Sunday of the ski season with 8KM of good to great skiing. All the same as yesterday #2,#11 and the inner loop close into the center which measure just about 2KM.
Laps last night proved to be fun. Temps out are perfect for maximum glide! Nice to stretch out the old legs and feel the glide.
We will be open today starting at 9AM so come up and get a your ski on.
Also remember that it is still Vermont's annual hunting season and you are responsible for wearing orange and being aware while hunters carry on Vermont's hundreds of years old (if not thousands if you think about it) tradition. Important both for our history and critical wildlife management. Good luck hunters!
Thanks Everyone. We are off to an excellent start to the season.
Hope to see you all up here today.
