The weather forecasters are predicting another big swing in the weather with a rather impressive looking snow storm poised to hit our area. The weather dudes are forecasting anywhere from 6 to 18 inches of snow by Monday night. Crazy right? Bring it on ! Looking to end this season right! Ski shop will reopen tomorrow morning. I anticipate (assuming things go according to the forecast) being able to get trails reopened for the morning. It has been about 11 days since mother nature torched us here in VT and closed all of the ski centers in Vermont. Our last day up to that point was the 80th day of skiing this season. Looking to add to that skier day count.

Skis crossed people!

VT frozen desert out there right now. Strong winds and warm temps last night combined with an impressive driving rain has finally killed our little base that just kept on keeping on. At 8PM last night it was near 60 degrees and by around 6AM temps had dropped down to almost 10 degrees. 50 degrees in 10 hours? This weather is hardcore.

Still some coverage left out on the trails but anything left near the airport is now an ice sheet. So we will most likely be waiting on a fresh snow storm to get some trails back open. It does not look good for next week but maybe we will get a late season gift of some fresh snow. Think snow people.

80 days of skiing on the nose today so far this season. Not too shabby.

Still a little trail open this morning. A full lap minus one small bare spot can be had around the airport and definitely some more to ski beyond. We lost a lot of snow since yesterday morning and the weather looks less than ideal for keeping it, but still some decent snow out there at the moment so come up to get some gliding in. The weather forecast does not look great through next week but maybe March can rebound. Time will tell. Think snow!
